Peppa Fennis wins second consecutive ITF J60 title in Accra

Dutch tennis player Peppa Fennis won her second consecutive ITF J60 junior tournament title in the girls' singles event in Accra, Ghana. In the final at the national tennis centre at Accra Sports Stadium, she defeated South Korea's Chiwon Hwang 6:3, 6:1.

Road to the final

In the semifinals, Fennis beat Eloise Agnambu 6:2, 7:6(2). Her opponent in the decisive match was Chiwon Hwang, who defeated Nigerian Success Ogunjobi 6:4, 6:4 in the other semifinal.

Title defence

The final victory allowed Fennis to defend the title she won at the previous tournament in Accra. She also extended her winning streak at this venue. The tournament was held in partnership with Tennis Foundation Ghana and the Ghana Tennis Federation, MyJoyOnline reports.
