College football scores, results: Oregon tops USC, LSU blasts Texas A&M in Week 4 action

After a wild first few weeks of the college football season, we had our best slate yet in Week 4 and it did not disappoint.

The day started with a marquee showdown between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee, and the Longhorns won rights to the 'UT' moniker with a tough defensive performance. Texas' Colin Simmons tied a school record with five sacks in a 20-17 win — though he did get in a bit of trouble after his first.

No. 17 Iowa provided the drama for the day in the afternoon, driving the length of the field in the final minute and scoring on a walk-off TD pass from Hank Brown to Reece Vander Zee as time expired to beat No. 18 Michigan 20-19. Elsewhere, No. 4 Ole Miss got shelled by No. 21 Florida, No. 2 Georgia throttled Oklahoma in an ugly game for Sooners QB John Mateer and No. 15 Utah held on for a 31-17 win at Iowa State.

In the evening, No. 20 Oregon kept its conference title and playoff hopes alive with a clutch road win at No. 12 USC, but paid a price. QB Dante Moore was knocked out of the game after a scary collision. Dylan Raiola replaced him and led the Ducks to an impressive 41-27 win.

In other action, Lane Kiffin and No. 10 LSU bounced back after their disappointing loss to Ole Miss last week with a beatdown of No. 23 Texas A&M and No. 8 Alabama rolled to a 49-18 win over South Carolina.
