Buffalo Bills Heiress Jessica Pegula Receives a Message from Josh Allen Ahead of Aryna Sabalenka Test at US Open

In pursuit of her maiden Grand Slam title, Pegula has stormed into the semifinals of the US Open. She triumphed over Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Sofia Kenin, Leylah Fernandez, and Sorana Cîrstea before claiming a hard-fought 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 comeback win over Emma Navarro in the quarterfinals.

With her win, Pegula set up a blockbuster showdown with two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka. The American will have revenge on her mind, having lost to Sabalenka in the 2024 US Open final and again in the 2025 semifinals.

The highly anticipated matchup was also on Josh Allen's mind as he spoke to the media ahead of the Buffalo Bills' NFL season opener. Allen gave a touching shoutout to Pegula, expressing his excitement about cheering her on from afar.

"If everyone's ready, shout out Jessie. Moving on to the semifinals, that's awesome stuff. We'll be cheering her on hard, so I'm excited to watch her," Allen said.

Amid the US Open action, Allen also showed his camaraderie with Pegula by appearing on her "Player's Box Podcast," which she co-hosts with fellow American tennis players Madison Keys, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk.

During the episode, Allen shared an "embarrassing" anecdote about ripping his pants during a trip to Paris and also spoke about his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, and their daughter, Harper Haize.

"I'm like, 'What the heck is that?' I reached down to fill my pocket to see if something was out. But when I went to reach down, I felt the back of my thigh [laughter], and my pants were ripped from basically my hip down to my calves. Um, didn't really know what to do," Allen said.

If Jessica Pegula overcomes her 4-9 record against Aryna Sabalenka and emerges victorious in their semifinal clash, she will face the winner of the match between Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina in the US Open final.
