Sumit’s bout against Ali Qasim Hamdan Al-Sarray of Iraq has begun.

Strong start from the Indian as he gets 10 from all five judges for the first round.

Al-Sarray needs to land a few big punches to come back in this contest but he has hardly shown any kind of aggression. Still, much better performance from him in the second round as he gets 10s from two judges while three judges feel Sumit won that round as well.

So, there is some hope for the boxer from Iraq going into the final round.

Oh My God! Al-Sarray goes all out attack in the first 10 seconds of the final round, Sumit is down on his knees and once he gets up, he is hardly able to walk. Looks like a serious knee issue for the Indian who otherwise should have won this bout easily.

The Indian has no other choice but to retire from the contest.
