Sha'Carri Richardson Unveils Sweet Gift for Serena Williams’ Daughters

Sha'Carri Richardson knows the ultimate accessory to help lap the competition.

So, of course, the track and field sprinter decided to share the goods with Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian's daughters Olympia, 9, and Adira, 3, presenting the girls with silver limited-edition Nike bags on the red carpet at the Athlos Track & Field Event at London's StoneX Stadium Sept. 18.

"Can we be twins?" Richardson asked Olympia and Adira in footage shared on social media. "Can we be triplets?"

The gesture was especially touching for Ohanian, who watched on as Richardson and Olympia shared a sweet moment at the all-female track-and-field event.

As for Williams, the tennis icon has found that life as an athlete has influenced how she raises her children. She's specifically tried to instill a spirit of kindness in her eldest, which she believes starts with being gentle toward oneself.

"I'm more kind about body image, I'm more forgiving," the 44-year-old shared with CNN Sports in 2024. "And then it's not only that, it's how I also talk to my daughter. I always tell her, 'Say something nice. Is there something nice you can think of about this girl?'"

She added, "I think it just starts at such a young age of just encouraging positive views and positive feedback and positive words that are coming out of your mouth."

And that's a sentiment Richardson can certainly get behind, as the Olympic gold medalist has found that being kind to herself has helped her achieve many of her goals.

"It gets down to those moments where it's not the crowd, it's not your coach, it's just you by yourself," she explained to Williams and her sister Venus Williams on their Stockton Street podcast in November. "Who's going to pour into you? It has to be you that feeds you the same way that it's you that's your biggest critic."

"I'm learning that life is forever a rollercoaster," Richardson added, "but it's still the best ride to be on."
