Pakistan finish third in the competition, winning their first medal at the Asian Games this year. Fatima Sana-led side scored 145/8 in 20 overs, before a comprehensive bowling show saw Pakistan restrict Bangladesh for 114/7 to script a 31-run win.

Sri Lanka's road to the final

Sri Lanka, who had reached the Asian Games final in 2022 as well, beat Malaysia by 86 runs in their quarterfinal tie, before taking down Pakistan by 8 wickets in the semis.

Asia Cup final repeat

On September 13, India faced Sri Lanka in the women's Asia Cup final. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side scored 183/5 riding on fifties from the two openers - Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. Shree Charani then picked up four wickets as India folded Sri Lanka for 111 runs. India won by 72 runs.
