Amanda Anisimova will miss the rest of the 2026 tournaments due to an injury

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova will not be competing in any tournaments in 2026. She has suffered another wrist injury, which will force her to end her season early.

“Hi everyone, I’m wrapping up my season this year. I’ve re-injured my wrist, and I need to get it healed. It’s time to focus on my health, recharge—and I’ll see you all in 2027,” the tennis player wrote.

This year, Amanda Anisimova was eliminated in the third round at three of the four Grand Slams; only at the Australian Open did the American advance further, reaching the quarterfinals.

Throughout her career, Anisimova has reached two Grand Slam finals, losing both: to Iga Swiatek at Wimbledon 2025 and to Aryna Sabalenka at the 2025 U.S. Open.
