Ukrainian tennis players will compete in the Billie Jean King Cup final for the first time

The final stage of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup for women's national tennis teams is underway in Shenzhen, China. In the semifinal match, the Ukrainian team secured a historic 2-0 victory over Italy and advanced to the tournament final.

Our top player, Elina Svitolina, sealed the match by defeating Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-2 in just one hour.

Earlier on Saturday, Angelina Kalinina defeated Tyra Catherine Grant 6-3, 6-4.

In the quarterfinals, the Ukrainian women defeated Belgium 2–1.

The title match of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup, in which the Ukrainian national team will face the Czech Republic, will take place in Shenzhen on September 27.
