Zimbabwe's struggles continued in the second ODI as they suffered an 84-run defeat against Australia. Chasing a huge target of 357, they were bowled out for 272 despite a few useful contributions from the middle order.

The batting unit once again failed to convert promising starts into big scores. Sikandar Raza made 45 off 49 balls, Brendan Taylor scored 49, and Craig Ervine added 38, but none of the batters was able to play the match-winning innings the team needed.

With the ball, Zimbabwe failed to apply early pressure on Australia's top order. Brad Evans was the standout performer with figures of 3/86 in nine overs, while Wellington Masakadza chipped in with two wickets.
