Table tennis United States Smash 2026: Chinese stars, Lebrun brothers, Hugo Calderano and others in action - how to watch live

Two years out from the LA28 Olympic Games, table tennis' global stars will descend on the city's outskirts and the city of Ontario, California, for the WTT United States Smash 2026, the second of the season's four Grand Smashes.

Just two of the top 52 men's singles players and two of the top 39 women's singles players, based on world rankings at the time of entry, will not be in action, with the rest set to compete in Ontario.

Defending singles champions Wang Chuqin (People's Republic of China) and Zhu Yuling (Macao, China) are the first and fifth seeds, respectively, in the men's and women's tournaments.

While Chinese stars continue to dominate the ranks, especially in the women's draw – excluding the Chinese-born Zhu there are six women representing China in the top eight – men's tournaments have proven more open in recent times.

Only Wang and former world No. 1 Lin Shidong (#5) represent China among the top 10, with the likes of Harimoto Tomokazu (Japan), Félix Lebrun (France), and Hugo Calderano (Brazil) all chasing their dream of winning a first WTT Grand Smash.

Another player to watch out for is Sweden's Truls Möregårdh, the only non-Chinese man to have claimed a Grand Smash singles title since the format's introduction in 2022 when he won last year's Europe Smash – Sweden 2025 on home soil.

Meanwhile, the U.S. charge will be lead by players such as Kanak Jha for the men and Lily Zhang and Amy Wang in women's singles.
