Germany vs Spain at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025: Head-to-head record before huge semi-final clash

Wednesday (23 July) marks just the ninth football meeting between Germany and Spain, coming at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, with the stakes higher than ever.

It is their second encounter in the history of the finals, as well as two previous run-ins during qualifiers, the first at this stage.

Reigning world champions Spain edged past hosts Switzerland in a 2-0 victory last time out as they continue their pursuit of a first European title.

Elsewhere, Germany delivered a gutsy 10-player performance to beat France in the last eight – the game ended 1-1, with Ann-Katrin Berger providing the heroics in a penalty shootout that ended 6-5.

Crucially, the eight-time victors of this tournament have never lost to Spain in their eight meetings to date, winning five while three draws were contested.
