Jordan Pickford has won the 2025/26 Coca-Cola Save of the Season award for his stunning late stop in Everton's win over Newcastle United.The Toffees were leading 3-2 deep into second-half stoppage time at St James' Park when Pickford made a vital, match-winning contribution, showing incredible reactions to palm Sandro Tonali's ferocious volley onto the crossbar and to safety.Watch: Pickford's Coca-Cola Save of the SeasonPickford earned February's Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for the stop. It was the second of two Save of the Month awards for Pickford in the 2025/26 season, and his fourth award in total, which is a Premier League record."It was worthy of a goal," said Everton manager David Moyes. "Tonali couldn't have hit that any better or any sweeter if he tried again. It was technically brilliant, his volley, but I have to say that the save was out of this world."Alan Shearer, the Premier League's all-time record goalscorer with 260 goals, said it was "world class"."It is a brilliant strike from Sandro Tonali, but an unbelievable save," Shearer said. "The reaction to get that onto the bar was remarkable."Meanwhile, Pickford's Everton team-mate Jarrad Branthwaite described it as "the best save I have ever seen".It was one of 10 saves, nine of which won the Premier League Save of the Month award, plus Tottenham Hotspur's Antonin Kinsky's finger-tip stop against Leeds United in May, that were shortlisted for the Coca-Cola Save of the Season award.Pickford won after receiving the most combined votes from the public and a panel of football experts.The England international was the only goalkeeper to win two or more Save of the Month awards.
