215 by GT is the highest target gunned down in an IPL playoffs game, surpassing 204 by PBKS against MI in the 2025 Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad.

It also happened to be GT's highest successful chase. Both their previous 200-plus chases had come against DC last year: 204 in Ahmedabad and 200 in Delhi.

11 century stands between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan in just 48 innings - the most by a pair (for any wicket) in Men's T20 cricket. The duo went past three pairs who had ten 100-plus partnerships each: Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli (63 innings), Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan (75 innings) and Kohli and AB de Villiers (77 innings).

167 runs added by the GT openers made it the highest ever stand in IPL playoffs (for any wicket), bettering 159 between Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay for CSK against RCB in the 2011 final in Chennai.

Having also combined for a 138-run stand in the 2023 Qualifier 2 against MI at home, these two have become the only pair to have put on two century stands in IPL playoffs.

886 runs as a pair for the GT openers in IPL 2026, the fourth-highest aggregate in a single IPL season. The duo also occupy the third spot in this list, having totalled 912 in 2025.

They now have four century stands in IPL 2026, the joint-second most in an edition alongside as many between David Warner and Jonny Bairstow in 2019 and Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in 2023. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers (five in 2016) lead this list.

1 - Gill became the first batter to register multiple hundreds in IPL playoffs; his 129 against MI in 2023 Qualifier 2 remains the highest individual score in this category.

He also became the first captain to hit a century in IPL playoffs. The previous highest score by a skipper belonged to David Warner and Rajat Patidar - 93* apiece - against GL (2016 Q2) and against GT (2026 Q1) respectively.

47 balls taken by Gill to his hundred made it the fastest for GT in the IPL, as well as in IPL playoffs overall. He went past his own 49-ball effort against MI in 2023 for the former record, while Wriddhiman Saha in the 2014 final against PBKS and Rajat Patidar in the 2022 Eliminator against LSG too, reached the milestone in 49 deliveries.

2 - This was Gill's second IPL hundred as a captain; only two others have scored multiple tons while leading the side in the tournament: Virat Kohli (5) and KL Rahul (3).

3 - Sudharsan was dismissed hit-wicket for the second time in succession, and for the third time in his IPL career. No other batter has been dismissed in that manner more than once in the tournament's history. His three hit-wicket dismissals are the joint-most in Men's T20s, alongside as many for Andre Russell and Shoaib Malik.

4 - Four batters have aggregated 700-plus runs in two different IPL editions, Gill (2023 and 2026) and Sudharsan (2025 and 2026) being the latest entrants to this select list. Chris Gayle (2012 and 2013) and Kohli (2016 and 2024) were the first two to have achieved this feat.

9 50-plus scores for Sudharsan in IPL 2026, the joint second-most for anyone in an edition. David Warner got as many in 2016 as well as 2019, while Kohli got 11 in 2016.

440 balls taken by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to complete 1000 runs in the IPL made him the fastest to the mark, well clear of the next best Andre Russell (545). The previous fastest among Indians was Virender Sehwag, who took 604 deliveries to get there.

23 - In terms of innings, he's the joint second-fastest to the milestone alongside Lendl Simmons, in a list headed by Shaun Marsh (21 innings). Devon Conway (24), Matthew Hayden (25) and Sai Sudharsan are the next three in this list.

776 runs totalled by the 15-year-old is the fifth-most by anyone in an IPL edition. There have been 480 instances of a player aggregating 300-plus runs in a single IPL edition. Of those, Sooryavanshi's runs in 2026 have come at the highest strike-rate (237.3).
