LIVE: England get a move on against Australia

Hosts England take on Australia in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 title decider at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Both teams are unbeaten in the competition so far.

While Australia are the most successful team at the Women's T20 World Cup, with six championships, England are aiming for their first title since 2009.

100 up for England

Freya Kemp is looking to step on the gas. She struck two boundaries against Annabel Sutherland to take England past the 100-mark.

After 15 overs, England are 105/4.

Punching back

It looked like England were switching gears as Alice Capsey and Nat Sciver-Brunt took on Ash Gardner, amassing 16 runs in the 9th over.

However, Australia have responded well with captain Sophie Molineux castling Capsey, who was attempting a reverse sweep, in the very next over.

After 10 overs, England are 68/3.

Australia edge powerplay

England are off to a scrappy start, finishing powerplay on 39/2.

Australia have not only kept a tight line and length to restrict runs, they have also sent the openers, including tournament's highest scorer Danni Wyatt-Hodge, back in the pavilion.

Review successful

Australia have sent back both the openers. Danni Wyatt-Hodge was caught why wicketkeeper Beth Mooney off Annabel Sutherland.

While the umpire had not raised the finger, Australia opted to review the decision. The ball brushed Wyatt-Hodge's glove and Mooney held on to the catch on the second attempt.

England are 32/2 in 4.5 overs.
