England have named teenage spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman in their 15-player squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, with captain Nat Sciver-Brunt set to lead the hosts at her seventh tournament. The 18-year-old Corteen-Coleman is one of three players selected for their first Women's T20 World Cup, alongside fast bowlers Issy Wong and Lauren Filer. Veteran batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge will feature in her eighth edition of the tournament.England have entrusted Sciver-Brunt with leading a squad that blends experience and youth as they seek success on home soil. Charlie Dean has been appointed vice-captain, while Lauren Bell is expected to spearhead the pace attack. The England cricket team has won the Women’s T20 World Cup just once – in 2009. England Women have also reached the final on three other occasions (2012, 2014 and 2018) only to be downed by Australia each time.Head coach Charlotte Edwards, who captained England to the Women’s T20 World Cup title when the tournament was last held in England in 2009, said selecting the final squad had been a challenging process given the depth of options available.“I know how much winning in 2009 meant to the players and to Charlotte Edwards as captain, and being in the team under Heather Knight’s leadership for the 2017 ODI World Cup win was incredibly special,” captain Nat Sciver-Brunt said.“Now the aim is to do something similar with this fantastic group of players who I know are putting their heart and soul into achieving our goal.”The squad contains more than 960 T20 International caps, providing England with a wealth of experience heading into the tournament, which begins on June 12.Placed in Group 2, England will open their campaign against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12 before facing Ireland, Scotland, West Indies and New Zealand in the group stage.England Women's T20 World Cup 2026 squad
