UCFB and Johan Cruyff Institute launch partnership to inspire the next generation of global sports leaders

University Campus of Football Business is proud to be launching a partnership with Johan Cruyff Institute in a monumental step to inspire the next generation of global sports leaders.

Building on from the legendary Dutch player and manager’s philosophy of leadership, innovation and global vision, the partnership allows both organisations to launch a diverse portfolio of courses equipped to grow the next leaders of the sports industry.

UCFB’s main aim has always been to grow the professionalism, both in quality and quantity, of the sports industry. This partnership is a key example of ways in which that will be achieved.

The initial courses to be launched are:

BA (Hons) Sports Management (Distance with attendance)

Blended online and residential courses across London, Manchester, and an optional trip to Barcelona

MSc Sports Directorship

Designed for former players and senior executives, focusing on leadership, strategy and governance

Executive course in Sports Leadership

Designed for senior leaders and decision-makers in sport, exploring strategic challenges and shaping the future of the sports industry

The Executive course in Sports Leadership, currently under development, will include:

Manchester; financial strategy and sustainable sport business models

London; commercial leadership and the global sport economy

Barcelona; innovation, fan engagement and the future of sport

Madrid; institutional power, governance and sport diplomacy

Ranging from undergraduate level to postgraduate level and executive education, this partnership allows those at any stage of their sports industry career to kick off their education journey in the world’s most exciting sector.

Sealed at the iconic Johan Cruyff Arena, home of Dutch giants AFC Ajax, the partnership was formally signed by UCFB Chair and founder Brendan Flood, and technical director at Ajax, Jordi Cruyff.
