Azmatullah Omarzai comes on for the second over and starts short and wide. Sanju Samson cuts it to deep point for a single. Abhishek Sharma then swivels on a leg-lined ball and slaps it over deep square leg for six. He swings and misses at a short one angling away outside off, but picks up four to long-on next ball. After a dot, he launches Omarzai over deep extra cover for another six. India end the over at 22 without loss, with Abhishek already on 20 off 8.

Shreyas Iyer: (You lost the toss. What would you have chosen)? We would have definitely batted first as well. I interacted with him. I knew what he would do. For Afghanistan, their middle-order have crumbled in both the games, along with opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who scored ducks in both the games. Afghanistan will have to find a way to deal with the seasoned pacers in the powerplay.

They have been underwhelming with the bat, not giving themselves enough chance to compete against their mighty opponents. If they are batting first again, Afghanistan must post at least 200.

"We thought about the things that how to improve that 150-160 to 200 plus. So we need to bring that intent to the team...we should go with the right intent to score, 200 plus. I'm pretty sure we will improve that area if you want to beat, biggest team in international stage," said Afghanistan skipper Ibrahim Zadran.

An improved performance in the final game will lift their spirits too before they board the flight to Japan.
