Following the announcement of our vision in March, the club is now inviting all fans to share their views on a range of potential features, including facilities, seating and pricing options. This survey, which is being run by market-leading commercial research company CSL, forms part of our ongoing commitment to place fans at the heart of planning for the future of Old Trafford. This new wave of discovery work builds on the initial phase of fan research conducted in autumn 2024, during which more than 50,000 fans participated – a record engagement rate for club research. It also follows a series of focus groups held in July, and the insights gathered will help shape the next stage of design development. All match-going supporters – including season ticket holders, official members and hospitality purchasers – will be sent an email tonight (Thursday) with a link to participate in the survey. If you receive this email, please complete the survey using the link provided.Supporters who have opted out of marketing communications will not receive the email, but can still share their views by returning to this page from midday tomorrow (Friday) and completing the link provided. They will be required to enter their Supporter ID if they have one.KEY PRINCIPLESWe want to create the best stadium in the world for the best team and fanbase in sport – guided by fans’ input throughout the design and development process.Atmosphere is central to our vision. We know it is the passion and noise of our supporters that inspires our players. Protecting and enhancing that strong fan culture is critical to our plans. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring our core community of match-going fans can continue to attend, feel valued, and play a genuine role in shaping the new stadium with us.The Stretford End, in particular, should continue to be a vibrant, vocal stand full of loyal fans who set the tone on matchdays. We also want to ensure that the stadium remains accessible to young fans, with affordability a key principle so that future generations can create the same vibrant atmosphere that has always defined Old Trafford. We want to keep our cheapest tickets at widely accessible levels. To do this we must develop the best and most premium options in the market to subsidise lower-cost tickets.PRODUCT AND PRICING SCENARIOSAs part of this latest consultation, fans will be asked about their preferences, priorities and expectations – including the types of facilities, seating and pricing options that could be offered in a new stadium. To enable this, the survey presents a series of hypothetical product and pricing scenarios across a broad range of seating categories – from general admission to premium hospitality. These scenarios are intended solely to test interest and demand at this early stage of the project. The figures included do not represent final decisions or proposals, and no pricing decisions have been made. A wide range is being tested across different categories – an approach that reflects best-practice market research techniques used in major stadium developments around the world to ensure robust and data-driven planning. Please note that fans will be shown a randomised selection of scenarios of potential products across various locations. As a result, the options presented may differ between individual fans, including those within the same group or seating block. The survey also explores early-stage interest in a potential seat licence option – a concept based on the principle of fans having the opportunity to secure the right to buy a ticket for matches and other events at Old Trafford for a defined period of time through a one-time payment or series of instalments.Seat licences have been used in many stadium projects across the globe. Unlike the vast majority of venues where they are mandatory for all seasonal product holders, we are exploring an entirely optional version, with standard season tickets still available. Our intention would be to ensure traditional season ticket holders still receive the normal benefits such as the same seat for every game and the ability to apply for away game and cup final tickets. Seat licence holders would also benefit from new – yet to be determined – benefits. The seat licence option is just one of several potential initiatives being explored and we will conduct more research with fans around alternative options in the coming months. Our overarching aim is to balance financing a new stadium with keeping football affordable and accessible for fans and preserving match-going culture for future generations. That’s why we’re taking this transparent and consultative approach – to find the right balance and ensure that our plans are shaped by fans every step of the way.Fans have until 23:59 GMT on 6 November to complete the survey and we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to share their views.*Please note that due to regulatory restrictions only fans aged 18 years old or over may complete the survey. We will continue to seek the views of younger fans via other channels, including focus groups.
