Jürgen Klopp: Jamal Musiala’s Germany absence due to ‘football injury’

Bayern Munich star attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala was set to be part of Jürgen Klopp's debut Germany XI on Thursday in a Nations League battle versus the Netherlands, but was pulled from the lineup shortly before the 2:45 PM kickoff.

That naturally prompted fears and speculation that it was related to another flare-up of the Musiala's neurological condition, which became public this summer after the 23-year-old suffered on-field absence episodes in two of Bayern's preseason matches. However, it looks like that is not the case, per the Germany head coach.

Musiala was reported to have experienced an issue with his thigh during warm-ups and Klopp confirmed that they are all awaiting further diagnosis. Hopefully Musiala is not facing anything serious and will be available again for club and country soon.
