Tennis stars Coco Gauff of the United States and Canada’s Victoria Mboko are headed to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open 2026 - with both stars seeking their first title in Miami.

On Monday (23 March), Mboko upset the eighth-seeded Mirra Andreeva in a thrilling three-set match.

Now, she’ll face Czechia’s Karolína Muchová for just the second time in her career. Their lone previous meeting came earlier this year in Doha, where Muchová was the victor in two sets.

For Gauff, it was an up-and-down affair on Monday as she squeaked by Romania’s Sorana Cirstea despite being broken several times in each of the first two sets.

The next test for the American, a two-time Grand Slam winner, will be the victor between compatriot Amanda Anisimova and Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic.
