Ahead of the India versus New Zealand T20 international match scheduled at the VCA Stadium, Jamtha, on January 21, Nagpur Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory to prevent congestion on Wardha Road and surrounding areas. With thousands of cricket fans expected to attend the match, police have announced a comprehensive parking and traffic management plan and urged spectators to use Metro services to avoid delays.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Lohit Matani said heavy traffic movement is expected on Wardha Road during match hours. To manage the situation, entry and exit routes to the stadium have been clearly defined, and separate parking arrangements have been made for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, school buses, VIPs, VCA members, police personnel and media representatives.

As per the advisory, vehicles travelling from Nagpur to Jamtha for the match must take Wardha Road and turn left towards the National Cancer Institute (NCI). After proceeding ahead, motorists are required to take a left turn near Mauli Nagar and park their vehicles only in the designated parking zones. Police have clarified that no public vehicle will be allowed to access parking routes towards the stadium or Jamtha village from the Jamtha T-point.

Parking zones near VCA Jamtha Stadium

• Parking Zone A: VIPs, police and media

• Parking Zone B: Four-wheelers

• Parking Zone C: Two-wheelers

• Parking Zone D-1: Four-wheelers on one side, two-wheelers on the other

• Parking Zones D-2, D-4, D-5 and E: Four-wheelers

For vehicles coming towards Jamtha from Wardha and Butibori, Parking Zone F near the Brahmakumari centre has been earmarked. This zone offers parking for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, and feeder buses will operate from here to transport spectators to the VCA Stadium. The Jamtha T-point will remain closed for public entry, and only vehicles carrying players and umpires will be permitted on this route.

School buses attending the match will have to take a U-turn in front of the National Cancer Institute and park near Gate No. 13. Vehicles of VCA members will also follow the same entry route, police said.

To ease traffic congestion, Nagpur Traffic Police have appealed to cricket fans to prefer Metro services while travelling to Jamtha. Motorists not attending the match but planning to travel via Wardha Road have been advised to avoid the stretch on January 21 between 5 pm and 7 pm, and again between 10 pm and 11.30 pm after the match ends.
