The Afghanistan vs Pakistan clash today will see two teams with contrasting bands of results since the last T20 World Cup face off. These are also two teams sporting varying levels of strength in the format since their last meeting two years ago. For Pakistan, the forthcoming Asia Cup and their immediate fixtures, a preparatory lap against Afghanistan and the UAE in Sharjah, will be pivotal in lifting a transitioning side from a pit of impending crisis.
