He played junior football with the Malvern East Knights and later at St Kilda under Darren Crocker’s coaching.5. He went to Caulfield Grammar and captained its firsts team.6. He has drawn football inspiration from fellow Caulfield Grammarian and dual Brownlow Medallist Chris Judd.7. He was a schoolboy athletics star, winning an under-13s national 800-metres title, but chose football over an athletics career in America.8. His unique pre-game ritual since under-12s level was running several laps of the oval.9. He was a Vic Metro teammate of young Tigers Josh Smillie, Luke Trainor, Harry Armstrong and Tom Sims and a Caulfield Grammar teammate of Jasper Alger.10. He finished fifth in Geelong VFL team’s 2025 best and fairest (the second highest Cats AFL-listed player in the count).
