Clubs, coaches and girls’ league

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku said that the KGL Foundation led efforts to revive the league in 2019. According to him, 859 active Colts Football clubs operate in the country.

Okraku added that 600 coaches have received training over the past three years. The association has also introduced, for the first time, a structured Colts Football girls’ league for female players under the age of 15.

As part of its partnership with Hoshi International, the association supplied the programme with 3,000 footballs, 15,000 jerseys and 15,000 pairs of casual footwear. The Colts Football programme is a platform for developing young talent and transitioning to an organised football system.
