MTZ crowned Lahore Region U19 champions

LAHORE - Model Town Zone won the Lahore Region Inter-District U-19 Cricket Championship after completing an unbeaten campaign, winning all four matches to finish top of the standings with eight points. Cantt Zone secured the runners-up position with six points. Model Town Zone president Malik Imran Bacha congratulated the team and praised captain Khawaja Hamid, head coach Aamir Sajjad and team manager Imran Nazir for their contribution to the title-winning campaign. He said the team’s success was the result of hard work, discipline and collective effort. Cantt Zone president Syed Mashhood Hussain Shirazi also congratulated his players, noting that their only defeat came against eventual champions Model Town Zone. He praised coach Kashif Siddiq, captain Naveed Ayub and team manager Nadeem Ahmed for their efforts. LRCA Manager Cricket Operations Abid Hussain congratulated both teams and said all participating sides displayed quality cricket and provided promising young players with valuable competitive exposure. He also credited Lahore Region Cricket Association president Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed for successfully completing the championship despite rain interruptions, with timely rescheduling ensuring all teams received equal opportunities to compete.
