Liverpool have completed their fifth signing of the summer window with the arrival of Japan youth international Mao Itamura.

The forward first made the move to European football from JFA Academy Fukushima to sign for Feyenoord at the start of 2025. Itamura quickly established herself with the Dutch club, scoring eight goals in 20 league games last season and being named the Eredivisie Player of the Year as well as representing her country at U20 level in the Asian Cup.
