The summer window has been and gone, but Premier League clubs remain active in the transfer market with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham still exploring potential deals ahead of January. Arsenal have announced an agreement to sign Andria Bartishvili - who has been dubbed as the next Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - and remain interested in Kenan Yildiz, Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi, amid links with Como star Nico Paz.

Chelsea are expected to sign a replacement for Enzo Fernandez in January, but may have moved on from Lamine Camara with Marc Bernal and Manu Kone the latest names to be linked. Bournemouth's Alex Scott is a long-time target. Liverpool could be the destination for Camara, while the Reds continue to hold an interest in Adam Wharton as Bayern Munich sniff around Florian Wirtz.

'The truth' about Richarlison's collapsed move to Vasco de Gama

There has been further reporting regarding Richarlison failed move to Vasco da Gama.

Despite Tottenham being prepared to let the forward leave, an exit to Brazil collapsed on deadline day last Friday.

According to UOL journalist Bruno Braz, Vasco were willing to structure a permanent deal that would have allowed Richarlison to return abroad in January. The Brazilian club also offered a clause giving him an exit route after just a few months, while Tottenham were reportedly satisfied with the financial arrangement.

However, Richarlison remained unwilling to accept a permanent transfer. His preferred solution was to terminate his Tottenham contract and then join Vasco until the end of the year before assessing his options in January.

Incoming Tottenham sporting director may have first target

Tottenham’s expected appointment of Piero Ausilio could have an impact on Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari.

According to Sport Witness, Ausilio is closing in on a move to Tottenham after more than 20 years at Inter, where he worked closely with Roberto De Zerbi. His departure has already led Inter to promote Dario Baccin as their new sporting director.

Baccin is keen to make an immediate impact in his new role and has identified Ayari as a potential target. The Brighton midfielder’s contract runs until 2027, making his situation particularly attractive to the Italian club.

The report also suggests that Ayari could have appealed to Ausilio himself.

Arsenal face Noni Madueke decision ahead of January

Arsenal could face a difficult decision over Noni Madueke’s future in January, with two major European clubs reportedly monitoring the winger.

According to CaughtOffside, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are considering moves for Madueke after his limited playing time this season. A loan deal, potentially including an option to buy, is viewed as realistic.

No formal negotiations have taken place yet, but Atletico are understood to see Madueke as a player who could add pace and directness to their attack. Juventus are also keeping tabs on the England international ahead of the winter window.

Arsenal will therefore have to decide whether to keep Madueke and push for greater involvement under Mikel Arteta or consider allowing him to leave on loan. The winger remains under long-term contract, meaning the Gunners hold a strong position should either club make a formal approach.

Manchester United turn to Adrien Truffert

Manchester United are stepping up their search for a new left-back after missing out on Lewis Hall.

Bournemouth defender Adrien Truffert has now emerged as a leading target as the club look for a long-term successor to Luke Shaw.

According to TEAMtalk, United are closely monitoring Truffert and have already laid the groundwork for a possible move. The 24-year-old is regarded as a strong alternative to Hall, who has committed his future to Newcastle with a new contract.

Truffert is valued at around £60m and remains under contract with Bournemouth until 2030. The Cherries are reluctant to sell, meaning a January move could prove difficult, with a deal next summer considered more realistic.

United are keen to strengthen at left-back after failing to make an addition during the summer window. Truffert has impressed since joining Bournemouth from Rennes and could now become their priority target as they plan for life beyond Shaw.

Mikel Arteta closes in on new Arsenal contract

Mikel Arteta is reportedly closing in on a new contract with Arsenal, with negotiations now at an advanced stage.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arteta is “very, very close” to signing a new deal, with discussions between Arsenal and the manager’s representatives progressing well.

“The discussions are taking place, are going very well,” Romano said, adding: “I expect Mikel Arteta definitely to sign a new contract at Arsenal.”

The agreement would provide further clarity over Arteta’s future as Arsenal continue to build under his leadership, with the Spaniard expected to remain at the Emirates for the foreseeable future.

Manchester United face Harry Kane blow

Manchester United have suffered a potential setback in their pursuit of Harry Kane,.

According to TEAMtalk, Bayern Munich are increasingly confident of keeping the England captain beyond this season.

The German giants believe their relationship with Kane remains strong and that the striker is committed to the club’s project.

United had been willing to explore a 2027 deal, with Kane currently under contract until the end of the season.

Richarlison reacts to latest Tottenham snub

Richarlison has reacted on social media after seeing hopes of a potential Tottenham recall dashed by Roberto De Zerbi.

The Brazilian is in a state of limbo after seeing a move back home to Vasco De Gama collapse after failing to agree personal terms. This comes after similar issues with Everton and Turkish club Trabzonspor.

As such, it would appear Richarlison is stuck at Spurs, at least until the January transfer window when his situation can be revisited. However, the forward is facing up to four months without playing competitive senior football.

Arsenal are monitoring Rio Ngumoha’s situation at Liverpool with growing interest.

According to reports, while there is no mention of a fee or a formal bid, it's claimed Arsenal are watching the youngster's situation ahead of the January transfer window.

With Cody Gakpo established and Bradley Barcola arriving on Deadline Day, Ngumoha is facing limited game time in his favoured left-wing position.
