Indian cricket team pacer Arundhati Reddy was named the women’s ICC Player of the Month for February 2026 after her inspired performances with the ball Down Under against Australia in a three-match T20I series.

Arundhati Reddy, a member of the Indian women’s cricket team, which won the Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup last year, shone with her fine seam bowling Down Under and helped India win their T20I series against Australia by a 2-1 margin.

With eight wickets, Arundhati Reddy was the leading wicket-taker in the series. She took a career-best 4/22 in the first match in Sydney, which India won and followed up with a 2/30 in the second match in Canberra.

In the third T20I in Adelaide - a decider - the Indian pacer registered figures of 2/35, which included the all-important wicket of Ashleigh Gardner, who top-scored for Australia in the match with 57.

Overall, Reddy finished with an average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25 in the series.

“It’s a real honour to be named ICC Player of the Month and even more special knowing I was able to contribute to a T20I series win in Australia,” Arundhati Reddy said. “Beating Australia on their home turf is never easy, which makes this award even more meaningful.”

“This series win has given our team a huge boost of confidence as we build towards the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer. We’ve got a well-balanced squad and I believe we’ll be a team to watch.”

Harshitha Samarawickrama of Sri Lanka and Fatima Sana of Pakistan were the other shortlisted players whom Arundhati Reddy edged out for the women’s award for February.

The winner was crowned following a vote conducted among global fans registered at the International Cricket Council (ICC) website and a specialist panel comprising former international players and media representatives.
