Exclusive: Chelsea View £40m Man Utd Star as 'Great Market Opportunity'

Chelsea view Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho as a great market opportunity, if he can be signed for £40m or less this summer, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Garnacho appears to be on his way out the door in the summer transfer window after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim. The Argentinian winger hasn't been involved with United during pre-season, casting further doubt over his future at Old Trafford heading towards the 2025/2026 campaign.

Speaking to the media this week, Amorim revealed all on why Garnacho has been frozen out at United, suggesting that things don't always work out...

"Garnacho is a really talented boy, but sometimes things don't work out. You cannot explain specifically what it is. But I have the feeling that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership. And I can understand that. It's not a problem. Sometimes you adapt to one guy, you have the connection. Other times, you want a new challenge. We try to make everything okay to all the parts, to the club, to the coach and to the players. It's a natural thing in football.”

Chelsea See Garnacho as Market Opportunity

Man Utd wary his valuation could be driven down

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Manchester United are wary of how Garnacho's valuation could be driven down during the summer transfer window. Chelsea view the tricky winger as a great market opportunity if he could be signed for a fee of around £40m or under.

The capital club are seeking good value deals this summer, and he fits when compared to other creative players who have moved over the last few weeks. Florian Wirtz for over £100m, Bryan Mbeumo at £65m, Matheus Cunha for £62.5m, Luis Diaz just shy of £65m, and both Mohammed Kudus and Anthony Elanga commanded fees of around £55m.

The closer we get to the summer transfer window deadline, the more desperately United need to get rid of Garnacho, and Chelsea hope that this works in their favour. The Red Devils are way of how low the offers could get to, so they need to show strong tactics to get a deal that also suits them. Garnacho isn't in the first plans at the moment, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.
