The Filipina ace captured her second WTA 125 title after defeating Nikola Bartunkova, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, in the final.

HSBC Queen's Championships (Round of 16)

Fresh off her Birmingham triumph, Eala advanced to the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in London before falling to good friend Iva Jovic, 6-2, 6-2.

Berlin Tennis Open (Semifinals)

Eala bounced back in Germany by reaching the semifinals of the Berlin Tennis Open.

She defeated HSBC Championships winner Donna Vekic (7-5, 6-4), world No. 2 Elena Rybakina (7-5, 6-4), and world No. 8 Elina Svitolina (6-3, 6-4) before bowing out to Linda Noskova, 6-2, 6-4, in the semifinals.

However, she enjoyed a strong doubles campaign with Venus Williams, as the pair reached the quarterfinals before falling to Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova, 6-3, 6-2.

Wimbledon (Round of 16)

At the year's grass-court Grand Slam, Eala made history by becoming the first Filipina to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon.

She opened her campaign with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Renata Zarazua, followed by a 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 win against Maya Joint. Eala then stunned defending champion Iga Swiatek, 7-6(9), 6-2, to book a place in the Round of 16, where she eventually fell to Jasmine Paolini, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
