Pakistan wins Asian Games PUBG Mobile bronze - Dawn

Pakistan’s PUBG Mobile national team won the bronze medal in the esports tournament at the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games in Tokoname, Japan. In the final, which consisted of 12 matches over two days, the team scored 100 points and finished third.

Thailand won the gold medal with 128 points, while China took silver with 114 points. In the final match, the Pakistani team finished third and earned 12 points: four for placement and eight for eliminations. Japan won that match with 18 points, while Thailand finished second with 14.

Team results

According to Dawn, Pakistan’s national team included Mohammad Huzaifa, Shayan Asad, Falak Sher, Hasnain Rehman and Syed Sameer. After the first day, they had 39 points, adding another 61 in the final six matches.

Pakistan’s best results on the second day came in the seventh match, in which the team earned 16 points, the eighth and ninth matches, with 10 each, as well as the 11th and final matches, with 12 each. Pakistan finished 28 points behind Thailand and 14 behind China in the battle for second place.

Pakistan’s fifth medal

This award became Pakistan’s fifth medal at the Asian Games, and all of them are bronze. Previously, medals were won by the women’s cricket team, MMA fighter Asim Khan, as well as squash players Noor Zaman and Ashab Irfan. Vietnam and Indonesia finished the tournament with 95 points each, South Korea scored 71, Chinese Taipei 62, and Jordan 61.
