A remarkable summer windows slams shut this evening, but there is plenty more to be done on Deadline Day as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham. Julian Alvarez has been the Gunners' dream signing for weeks, but Malick Fofana has emerged as an alternative option. Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus will both leave, for Saudi Arabia and Barcelona, respectively. Man Utd still need a new left-back, and are actively pursuing one in the final hours, but the clock is ticking on a late move.

Enzo Fernandez is expected to make a blockbuster move from Chelsea to Manchester City in a deal worth around £120million, with Lamine Camara replacing the Argentine at Stamford Bridge. Man City may not be done there, though, as they look to wrap up the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from under the noses of Tottenham.

Spurs have responded by making a move to sign Mykhailo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea, in a shock double swoop which will see Tosin Adarabioyo join on a permanent deal as Kevin Danso leaves. Arsenal still working on Julian Alvarez plan

Arsenal are continuing to work on a potential deal for Julian Alvarez and are taking steps to make a move to north London as straightforward as possible for the Atletico Madrid forward.

TEAMtalk reports that the Gunners are understood to be willing to help Alvarez relocate members of his extended family from Spain, including assistance with visas and accommodation.

Alvarez remains keen on joining Barcelona, but Atletico have made it clear they will not sell him to their La Liga rivals. Arsenal therefore see themselves as the most credible alternative if the Argentina international decides he wants to leave Madrid this summer.

The report claims that discussions have even included the possibility of incorporating a future Barcelona clause into any Arsenal agreement.

Barcelona could reportedly revisit a move for Alvarez in 2027, while Arsenal remain hopeful of completing a deal before the transfer deadline.

Manchester United still pursuing new left-back signing

Manchester United are still working on deals to sign a left-back before tonight’s deadline.

The clock is ticking on incomings, but Manchester Evening News says a new face coming through the door should not be ruled out. Alejandro Balde of Barcelona is a name mentioned of late.

The club are also expected to focus on departures, though, with several players potentially leaving either permanently or on loan.

Joshua Zirkzee and Harry Amass are among those who could depart, while Mason Mount’s future is said to be in doubt.

United are therefore facing a potentially busy final day, despite uncertainty over whether they will make any major additions.

Tottenham explore Christian Pulisic move

That news may follow this, as Tottenham have reportedly made enquiries about AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic.

According to TEAMtalk, Pulisic is one of several options being considered by Spurs ahead of the deadline,, with Tottenham also making enquiries about Lyon’s Malick Fofana and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jean-Matteo Bahoya.

It remains to be seen if former Chelsea star Pulisic is open to a return to the Premier League.

Man City hijack Tottenham's Iliman Ndiaye talks

Manchester City have successfully hijacked Tottenham’s deal for Iliman Ndiaye.

Standard Sport understands that a deal worth up to £65million has been agreed with Everton, a day after Spurs were given permission to discuss personal terms with player.

Ndiaye is expected to undergo a medical with Man City on Tuesday.

Man City were hoping to wrap up a deal for Cody Gakpo, after agreeing a fee worth £85m with Liverpool, but the move collapsed on Monday.

The latest developments leave Spurs scrambling for a left-sided attacker, and are understood have opened talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Mykhailo Mudryk.

City are also looking to wrap up a deal for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez on Deadline Day.

Arsenal offered Malick Fofana

Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Lyon attacker Malick Fofana.

The Gunners are keen to add another attacking option before tonight’s deadline.

According to widespread reports, Fofana’s potential arrival has been discussed internally after intermediaries presented the Belgian to Arsenal.

However, there is said tto be no unanimous support within the club for a deal, leaving the Gunners yet to decide whether to pursue the 21-year-old.

Arsenal are generally satisfied with their squad, with previous interest in Morgan Rogers, Vinicius Jr and Julian Alvarez driven by their status as elite targets who could significantly improve the team.

Arsenal running out of time in Julian Alvarez pursuit

Arsenal are running out of time to convince Julian Alvarez to join them from Atletico Madrid after agreeing departures for Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira in deals worth more than £70m combined.

Mikel Arteta is understood to have spoken with Alvarez last week in an attempt to persuade him to return to the Premier League, but the striker reportedly made clear that Barcelona remains his preferred destination.

The Guardian report that Arsenal retain hope of a late change of heart, which has been boosted by Atletico reaching an agreement with Juventus for Jonathan David.

Fernandez 'ready for Man City medical'

One story will dominate Deadline Day, and that is Enzo Fernandez’s transfer from Chelsea to Manchester City.

Reports from Sky Germany suggest the player has agreed terms with City, who are locked in talks with Chelsea to see whether an agreement can be reached.

Fernandez, meanwhile, is waiting to get the green light to undergo his medical.

Should an agreement be reached, Fernandez’s transfer will likely be worth at least £100m.

Arsenal are exploring the conditions of a deal for Lyon forward Malick Fofana.

The Gunners have been approached and offered the 21-year-old, who Standard Sport understands would be keen to join the Premier League champions.

However, it is unclear how strong Arsenal's interest in Fofana is ahead of Tuesday night's deadline.
