Lahore Region Cricket Association seeks complete records, funds from former zones

LAHORE - The Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) has taken a significant administrative step towards strengthening transparency, accountability and governance following the Pakistan Cricket Board’s restructuring of cricket zones in Lahore. After the establishment of new zones and the dissolution of the former East, North and West zones, the LRCA has formally written to the former zone presidents, Bilal Muneeb, Muhammad Ijaz Butt and Naushad Ahmad, directing them to hand over all administrative, financial, legal and cricket-related records within seven days. According to the letter issued by LRCA Secretary Muhammad Jameel Ahmed, the former zones have been asked to submit complete details of their bank accounts, bank statements, cash balances, receipts and expenditure records, accounting vouchers, audit reports, ledgers and other financial documents. The directive also covers club registration files, club databases, player registration records, tournament files, scorebooks, match sheets, schedules, official correspondence, administrative records, inventories, assets, sporting equipment and all other documents relating to the former zones.
