Chelsea appear to be all focused on outgoings on transfer deadline day, with an academy prospect heading out the door.

It’s shaping up to be a disappointing transfer deadline day after missing out on Jeremy Jacquet to Liverpool.

There have been links to Tylel Tati before the deadline, but even if he does join it looks as if he will be loaned back to Nantes for the future.

Chelsea do have plenty of options already at the heart of the defence after deciding to keep Josh Acheampong, but you can’t help but feel we have been given false hope with signings.

And now it looks as if attentions have turned to yet another exit.

Ato Ampah to join Stoke City in a permanent deal

Ato Ampah is a 19-year-old winger trying to establish himself as one of the most exciting talents in the Chelsea academy. He joined the club at the age of 11, and only signed a new contract last summer.

He has become a mainstay for the Under-21 side and has already tasted senior football, making his professional debut in a UEFA Conference League victory over Astana in December 2024.

However, Fabrizio Romano has claimed he’s set to join Stoke City permanently.

‘Stoke City agree deal to sign Ato Ampah from Chelsea on a permanent move. #SCFC booked medical today as Ampah will join soon with Chelsea keeping a heavy sell-on clause. Transfer fee can be up to £3m package.’
