Trafford, who has been described as 'world-class', emerged as the 'dream target' at Elland Road for the position after it became clear he would be leaving City this summer, having been demoted to understudy following the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

GIVEMESPORT sources reported earlier this week that the player had made a switch to Leeds his preference, and the club have now agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old, and a deal with City is expected to be completed in days.

Trafford made just 17 appearances for City last season, including the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals, but wants to play more regularly and has made regular football his priority.

It was reported that Leeds were willing to match his £100,000-a-week wages to get the deal done, and they are now on the verge of completing a deal for their top target.

Trafford stands at 6ft 6 and has the presence of an elite goalkeeper. But he is also very good with the ball at his feet, is agile, young, and ready to make himself a success at the highest level.
