Reading vs Tottenham Hotspur confirmed team line-ups - Captain Romero

Thomas Frank has selected his first Tottenham Hotspur starting eleven for the friendly match against Reading.

Tottenham make the short trip Select Car Leasing Stadium to get their first taste of pre-season football under their new head coach.

The Royals have already got a taste of action under their belt with matches against Swindon Town, Gillingham and Hungerford Town.

Frank revealed at Friday’s press conference that Heung-min Son and Cristian Romero would both feature in either half against the League One opposition, with each wearing the captain’s armband during their respective 45-minute run-outs.

There will be plenty of changes to the line-ups as the game unfolds, as Frank looks to start to get minutes into the legs of his Tottenham first-team squad, while some of the young talent will also be looking to catch the Dane’s eye.

Frank already confirmed that Kulusevski, Maddison and Dragusin will not play as they continue their comebacks from their respective injuries from last season, with Maddison the closest to returning out of the trio.

Yet another era begins in N17 with Tottenham fans hoping that Frank can build upon Ange Postecoglou’s Europa League success.
