That’s the final whistle in Toronto. Ghana have won, and the fans go wild. They move to second in Group L.

Let’s take another look at some of those goal celebration pics.

Full-time: Ghana 1-0 Panama

It comes from nowhere, it comes in added time, but Ghana have scored to take a 1-0 lead with less than two minutes left in the match.

The small but mighty crowd in Toronto are going crazy, as Brandon Thomas-Asante makes an aggressive run down the left edge. He sends the ball into the box for Caleb Yirenkyi who scores for Ghana.

Wowee. That’s what the World Cup is all about. Panama’s fans can hardly believe it.

Mexican military forces intercepted and brought down a drone that flew near the South Korean training camp ahead of their World Cup match against Mexico, a federal official told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Military forces used specialised equipment to detect an “unregistered drone” near the South Korean camp, prompting them to “neutralise” it, the Mexican federal agent said.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to discuss the incident publicly.

Co-host Mexico won their opening Group A match on Thursday while South Korea beat the Czech Republic later that same day. It wasn’t clear if the drone was trying to spy on the South Korean team ahead of Friday’s (AEDT) match between the teams.

Just to put into perspective what this means for DRC – Portugal are No.7 on the FIFA world rankings...DRC are 43, and they now top their Group (Colombia v Uzbekistan play their first match at 12pm today).

A reminder: the reason DRC top the group is because in the event of a draw, yellows cards will be used to split the difference on the table.

It’s hydration time.

This has been a much better half from Ghana so far. They’ve at least had attempts on goal.

Possession still favours Panama, who have had more than 60 per cent of the ball, but for all Ghana’s faults they’re keeping Panama out and finally applying some pressure in attack.

And here we go, the second half is under way in Toronto.

Panama and Ghana are in a group with England and Croatia – who played this morning – so at the end of this match, one of these two nations will be sitting second in their group.

While we wait for the second half to get under way, why not talk about everyone’s favourite World Cup team: the Socceroos.

As most of our readers would know, the Socceroos next match is against the United States at 5am on Saturday.

Now, you could watch the match from the comfort of your couch/bed, or you could head out to a local pub to soak up the action with fellow fans.

Where to watch the match in Sydney (we will get to Melbourne soon, but everyone knows Fed Square is the place to be):

The Henson, Marrickville

The Golden Barley, Enmore

The Sackville Hotel, Rozelle

Beach Road Hotel, Bondi

The Coogee Pavilion, Coogee

Well, that’s half-time in Toronto, where not a lot has happened.

Sure, we’ve had 45 minutes of football (plus five minutes added time), but the sheet still reads 0-0.

There have been plenty of appeals for penalties as both Ghana and Panama hunt their first goals of the World Cup, but Ghana haven’t looked threatening at all in the opening half and have been quite disorganised in attack.

Meanwhile, Panama have had a few opportunities but just the one shot on goal, which was saved by keeper Moquera.

Half-time: Ghana 0-0 Panama
