You get the feeling there are more goals in this for the Reds.

Eric Dier is missing a reunion with former club Spurs tonight as he is out of the Monaco side because of injury, having earned them a point with a stoppage time penalty against Manchester City in their last Champions League game.

He has just been spotted walking around the pitch by the Spurs fans, who broke into warm applause, which he readily acknowledged.

One of the things we are going to talk about on the show is that there are definite pros and cons of this new Liverpool shape, which was 4-4-2 without the ball in the first half but more like a 4-2-3-1 with it.

They have dominated the ball and are controlling the game, and created some big chances in open play as well as scoring from set-pieces.

The downside of setting up like this is when they lose the ball, because they are left open when they have that many attacking players high up the pitch.At the moment they look vulnerable defensively on the transition but that could be because their two defensive midfielders in this formation (Szoboszlai and Jones) are not defensive minded.

If you put Gravenberch and Mac Allister in there instead, they are players who sense danger rather than react to things like Szoboszlai and Jones are. They would be a lot more solid.
