Months after their much-publicised divorce, Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal are still grabbing headlines — with the drama refusing to die down. The couple officially parted ways earlier this year after months of speculation, cryptic social media posts, and eventually, a legal confirmation that their marriage had ended. While both have since taken separate paths — Chahal focusing on cricket and Dhanashree maintaining a steady presence in the dance and content world — the internet hasn’t quite let go.

Now, an old interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, when Dhanashree was asked how Yuzvendra approached her, she said, “So he asked me, ‘Are you working even during the lockdown?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I have to be busy. You know, I used to take online classes, make my own videos, or do some creative work.’ I told him, ‘I sit with my friends on Saturdays — we meet virtually, talk, and unwind.’ Then he said, ‘Can you give me one Saturday of yours? I was like, ‘Oh!’ I told my mom, and her first reaction, knowing me, was, ‘Gaya student!’ The way he approached everything was very decent."

Since the split, Dhanashree has been subtly responding to online chatter. Whether through cryptic Instagram captions, peaceful vacation posts from Dubai, or staying silent on trolling, she’s kept it composed.

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal opened up on why he wore the now-viral “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy" T-shirt on the day of his final divorce hearing from choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Talking about it on Raj Shamani’s podcast, he explained it simply, “Mereko nahi karna tha drama, I just wanted to give one message and mai ne woh de diya."

Rumour mills are abuzz about Yuzvendra’s alleged closeness with RJ Mahvash, especially after she was seen at all his IPL matches and even his vacations. However, Chahal later addressed the speculation directly, firmly saying that Mahvash is simply a close friend who supported him during a difficult time. He also said that he is disappointed over her being wrongly labeled a “homewrecker," calling such accusations both false and deeply upsetting.
