Manchester United’s next generation in the academy is beginning to catch on, and one of the crown jewels is Jaice Dore.

Carrington hasn’t been in such a good place in years, with a steady stream of top-level talents coming through, and with JJ Gabriel establishing himself within the first-team ranks currently, the next big talent to come through could be Jaice Dore.

Like Gabriel, Shea Lacey, and others, Dore is a name that academy fans will have been aware of over the past few years, with excitement about when he is finally old enough to make strides higher up.

Who is Jaice Dore?

Dore is a 14-year-old winger currently playing for Manchester United at an U16 level, and it among the very best in his age group in the country, which has seen him in U18 friendlies this summer.

The forward is electric on the ball, is tricky, and goes past opponents for fun. Dore has a deep bag of tricks, neat touches, and long solo dribbles, which make him a fan favourite in every game he plays.

Dore was hailed for his performances at the Snow Bowl Tournament in America earlier this year, named the best player at the competition, scoring five goals in three games, and winning the MVP award.

There are no guarantees in youth football, but Dore is as good a talent as United has seen, and definitely the most entertaining in many years. He is an edge-of-your-seat player, always looking to make something happen.

Dore is an English youth international too.

Every touch Dore has of the ball is worth watching, and there will be plenty to watch both this summer and in the upcoming campaign.

Not only is Dore an elite talent, but he is looking likely to follow the trajectory of JJ Gabriel, and in some ways, he already has.

Darren Fletcher has had Dore in Germany for pre-season with the U18s, and the 14-year-old could be fast-tracked, playing four years up this coming season like Gabriel did last season.

But off the pitch, he is also copying Gabriel.

At the age of just 13, Dore penned a Nike deal, similar to Gabriel, who was labelled the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo’s throne. To get a deal with Nike so early shows it isn’t just United who are excited by his talent; he also has admirers elsewhere.

During the off-season, Dore had also been training hard with private coaches, similar to Gabriel, and all indications are that he is the next big talent to keep an eye on at Carrington.
