CARLTON General Manager of Football Chris Davies has provided an update on where things stand for the Blues’ 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period - including offers for Charlie Curnow.Speaking on Trade Radio on Friday morning, Davies responded to reports that the Blues had received their first official approach for the dual Coleman Medallist.Asked off the top of his interview about the ongoing Curnow chatter, Davies said the below. Watch the full interview via the player.“Importantly the Club’s position is we don’t want Charlie leaving Carlton - that’s the first thing we should all be aware of.“The second part of this conversation is understanding what three first-round picks might look like: for Geelong, that’s effectively going to be three picks in the 20s. If that’s what the offer ends up being, notwithstanding the fact we don’t want Charlie to go, I don’t think anyone will think that’s a reasonable deal for who Charlie Curnow is.“What has been clear from day one is we’re not going to be in a position where we’re having to suggest to other clubs what Charlie is worth. We want Charlie to stay - we want him at Carlton, we value him highly, we value him far more than what some people across the competition are suggesting he’s worth.“From here on in, our position will remain that we want Charlie to stay.”He also confirmed the Club's mooted interest in contracted Gold Coast Suns forward, Ben Ainsworth."We've had some preliminary discussions with Craig Cameron at Gold Coast, we certainly think that Ben is a player that can help us. Whether we're able to get a deal done remains to be seen, but he's a player in a position for us that could definitely help us into the future."
