The full women's draw can be found here.Tournament PreviewJannik Sinner, the top-ranked men's player in the world, will enter Roland Garros as the No. 1 seed. The 23-year-old is seeking his first career victory at the French Open. The biggest obstacle in Sinner's way is Alcaraz. Sinner has been virtually unbeatable since the start of the 2024 season except when he is matched up with Alcaraz. The only loss for Sinner so far this year was against Alcaraz in the Italian Open final. He is 12-0 otherwise with wins over Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud and Alex de Minaur.Sinner and Alcaraz met in the French Open semifinal last year. Carlitos won a five-set marathon that lasted more than four hours en route to winning his first title at this event.Zverev is a potential spoiler to getting a Sinner-Alcaraz final. The German star has a strong 164-60 career record on clay court (73.2 winning percentage). He took Alcaraz to five sets in the 2024 final.Sinner and Zverev would meet in the semifinal if the seeding holds.A deeper sleeper could be Novak Djokovic. The three-time French Open champion has yet to win a tournament this year, but he did send Alcaraz home in the Australian Open quarterfinals before losing to Zverev.Djokovic was the No. 1 seed in last year's tournament and reached the quarterfinals before a knee injury forced him to withdraw prior to his match with Casper Ruud.A Djokovic-Zverev rematch could happen in the quarterfinals if seeding holds.Alcaraz got a nice break in the draw with Sinner, Djokovic and Jack Draper on the opposite side of the bracket.Casper Ruud, Alcaraz's potential quarterfinal opponent, won their last head-to-head meeting at the Miami Open in November. Alcaraz did win their first four meetings, with the highlight being the 2022 U.S. Open final. The path for each of the top four men's seeds is daunting with no real gimmes at any point. The women's singles bracket looks to be wide open right now. Świątek recently fell to fifth in the WTA rankings following a straight-set third-round loss to Danielle Collins in the third round of the Italian Open.Since her triumph at last year's French Open, Świątek hasn't reached a final in each of her last 12 singles tournaments. Clay courts are her specialty, and she's won four of the last five French Open titles, so you can't underestimate her chances even if momentum doesn't appear to be on her side at the moment. The draw did not do Świątek any favors. Even before potentially getting to a match with Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinal, her list of potential opponents in the first four rounds includes Marta Kostyuk, Elena Rybakina, Jelena Ostapenko and Belinda Bencic.Ostapenko is a dangerous potential opponent for Świątek, as she boasts a 6-0 head-to-head record. Their most recent meeting was in the quarterfinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix last month.Aryna Sabalenka has been the No. 1 player in the WTA rankings since October. She has been dominant to start 2025 with three singles titles. The 27-year-old also has two head-to-head victories over Paolini.Any of the top eight seeds face a gauntlet in their final three matches if all of them advance to the quarterfinal. It doesn't look very easy for any of them leading up to that point either based on the potential matchups along the way.Even before Sabalenka gets to the quarterfinal, her section of the bracket includes Amanda Anisimova, Diana Shnider and Leylah Fernandez. The French Open has never been Sabalenka's best event. She has made it two the semifinals and quarterfinals in each of the past two years, but those are the only times she advanced beyond the third round.Paolini, a finalist at this tournament last year, is well positioned to have another deep run. She is 22-7 in clay-court matches since the start of 2024, including 10 wins in 12 matches so far this year, and she just won the Italian Open.Coco Gauff is so close to reaching the top of the mountain recently that this could be her moment. She has reached the finals in each of her last two events, losing to Paolini in Italy and Sabalenka at the Madrid Open.
