India Champions took a strong stance against Pakistan and pulled out of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) semifinal. India reached the semifinal after beating the West Indies, but their withdrawal was always on the cards, given that the team had also pulled out of the league game against Pakistan. After India's withdrawal, Pakistan qualified for the final courtesy of a walkover.

The India-Pakistan ties are at an all-time low after the Pahalgam attack, and the public sentiment is against the neighbours. There are calls to boycott Pakistan at global events, and the legends team adopted the country first policy. Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi was left red-faced after the Indian team pulled out of the WCL semifinal.

In a viral video, Afridi had said that India would have no choice but to play Pakistan in the semifinal. "Pata nehi India kis muh se khelega magar khelega humare sath hi (Don't know with what face India will play, but they'll end up playing with us only)," he said as the clip went viral on social media.

Probably Afridi didn't believe that India would pull out of the league, but the Men in Blue stuck to their stance and withdrew from the clash.

Another video of Afridi went viral on social media soon after India pulled out of the WCL semifinal. In the video, Afridi could be seen standing on a balcony and helplessly watching the Indian team leave the stadium. It's not known when the video was taken, but it perfectly sits in the current scenario.

While India have boycotted Pakistan in the WCL, they'll have no option but to play them in the Asia Cup. The schedule of the tournament was recently announced, and India and Pakistan were kept in the same group. The tournament will run from September 9-28 in the UAE.
