Women’s team sport is undergoing a revolution. In 2025, the Lionesses became back-to-back Euros champions, and the Red Roses lifted the World Cup trophy in front of a record 81,885 fans at Twickenham. Now, England’s female cricketers have the chance to add to that incredible legacy, with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup coming to England and Wales this summer. As they take their place on the world stage, thousands of girls will see someone like them at the top of cricket and know they belong. But despite this progress, things on the ground are slow to change. In England, 24% fewer girls than boys play team sport. That means almost one million girls are missing out on the joy, camaraderie and belonging that team sport can bring. This summer, women’s sport is back on our screens – and we need your help to make it more than a moment. When is the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026?The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup runs from 12 June to 5 July 2026 across England and Wales, with the final taking place at Lord’s.Which teams are playing?Twelve teams will compete at this year’s tournament:EnglandAustraliaNew ZealandIndiaPakistanSouth AfricaSri LankaWest IndiesBangladeshIrelandNetherlandsScotlandICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 venuesMatches will be played at seven venues:Lord’sThe OvalEdgbastonOld TraffordHeadingleyHampshire BowlBristol County GroundEngland fixturesEngland vs Sri Lanka | Friday 12 June – Edgbaston, 18:30England vs Ireland | Tuesday 16 June – Hampshire Bowl, 18:30England vs Scotland | Saturday 20 June – Headingley, 18:30England vs West Indies | Wednesday 24 June – Lord’s, 18:30England vs New Zealand | Sunday 28 June – The Oval, 18:30Key fixtures to tune intoAustralia vs South Africa | Saturday 13 June – Old Trafford, 14:30India vs Pakistan | Sunday 14 June – Edgbaston, 14:30Semi-finals and finalSemi-final 1 | Tuesday 30 June – The Oval, 14:30Semi-final 2 | Thursday 2 July – The Oval, 18:30Final | Sunday 5 July – Lord’s, 14:30The tournament concludes at Lord’s, nearly a decade after England’s unforgettable 2017 World Cup win at the iconic ground.Find all fixtures and results here. How to watch the ICC Women’s T20 World CupSky Sports will make all 12 group matches involving England, Scotland and Ireland, as well as the semi-finals and final of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup available for free via the Sky Sports App.The BBC will also deliver every ball of the World Cup across radio and its digital platforms, including Radio 5 Live and Radio 5 Sports Extra.Fans can also buy tickets and register for tournament updates through the official ICC Women’s T20 World Cup website. How to get involvedThis summer is about more than elite tournaments or competitions: it’s about ensuring every girl feels she belongs in sport.By hosting an ICC Women’s T20 World Cup watch party, festival, mini cricket or rounders tournament or even a quiz for Women in Sport, you can bring your community together and help us continue our work creating a fairer system for women and girls: more teams, more female coaches, more girls-only opportunities and better PE and school sport for girls.Together, we can make this summer more than a moment.
