Sources: Newcastle open door to permanent Nick Woltemade move after deal agreed

Newcastle United are prepaerd to accept permanent offers for Nick Woltemade next summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 24-year-old joined Juventus on loan in the latter stages of the transfer window, and despite the deal containing no option to buy, Newcastle are preparing for his permanent exit.

The Germany international was allowed to move on as Newcastle completed the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who has enjoyed a strong start at St James' Park.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Newcastle have opened the door to Woltemade's permanent exit and placed top clubs on alert.

Alongside Juventus, who are likely to be interested if he enjoys a successful loan spell, Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with a move to sign the striker.

With Newcastle now prepared to see him move on, plans are being put in place to raise money from his sale and he does not feature as part of Matthias Jaissle's plans.

Will Newcastle accept offers for Nick Woltemade?

Football Insider revealed that Woltemade was set to leave Newcastle in the closing stages of the transfer window as he was not considered part of their plans for the season.

Following the addition of Fernandez-Pardo, and the early-season form of Yoane Wissa, the Germany striker would be forced down the pecking order if he were to return.

That has now led to suggestions he could leave permanently next summer, and plans are being put in place for that eventuality after his loan exit.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Newcastle will be open to letting Nick Woltemade leave permanently, for sure.

"By letting him go to Juventus, that shows that he doesn't really figure in their long-term plans going forward, otherwise they wouldn't have agreed to that deal.

"But they let him go so that they could bring in Matias Fernandez-Pardo as the new forward at St James' Park instead.

"It does seem that he doesn't have a long-term future at Newcastle, that's for sure, so when next summer comes around they will be prepared to let him move on."

Newcastle are now set to consider permanent offers for Woltemade next summer, but they are not the only ones keen to complete a move, with the player's stance key.

Football Insider revealed in May that Woltemade had considered pushing for a move away from St James' Park during the summer amid their pursuit of a new striker.

That ultimately manifested later in the window than many had expected following Fernandez-Pardo's arrival and the Germany striker's loan move to Juventus.

However, it is likely to be the case again next summer, with Woltemade scheduled to return to Newcastle where he will find himself down the pecking order.
