For the first time in history, the FIFA World Cup final will feature a spectacular halftime show that unites a lineup of international superstars, not only to entertain but also to champion a cause beyond the pitch.

The headline acts include global icons Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop sensation BTS, who will share the stage as co-headliners. Joining them are Afro-fusion star Burna Boy, renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and legendary British band Coldplay and the PS22 Chorus, a choir of elementary school children from Staten Island, New York.

Traditionally, World Cup halftime breaks last no more than 15 minutes, as mandated by the International Football Association Board. However, to accommodate the elaborate staging and star-studded performances, FIFA has extended the halftime for this final to between 20 and 30 minutes, a first in tournament history.

Beyond delivering world-class entertainment, the halftime show will also serve a greater purpose by supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This initiative aims to raise $100 million to broaden educational and soccer opportunities for children in underserved communities around the globe. Over $50 million has already been secured for the cause, thanks in part to FIFA’s commitment to donate $1 from every ticket sold for all World Cup matches.

"The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said, according to FIFA. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

Adding to the excitement, the halftime show will also feature beloved characters from Sesame Street and the Muppets, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
