FENERBAHCE are ready to break the bank to lure Marcus Rashford to Turkey in one of the biggest moves of the summer.

Rashford is back from a successful loan spell at Barcelona, with manager Hansi Flick admitting he will miss the England international after it was announced the Catalan club would not be signing him permanently.

SunSport understands Rashford is on a three-man shortlist for the Turkish giants that also includes AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr.

Fenerbahce have already held talks with Leao but have so far failed to agree a deal.

They have also contacted the representatives of Sarr, who is represented by the same agent as Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.

Rashford’s representatives have also been contacted over a prospective move as Fenerbahce look to back new manager Ismail Kartal with a squad capable of challenging rivals Galatasaray.

Fresh from England’s third-place finish at the World Cup, Rashford will take his time before deciding on his next move.

But if he wants to experience the passion of Turkish football, Fenerbahce are prepared to break the bank for him, SunSport has been told.

Crystal Palace and Senegal star Sarr is another player Fenerbahce admire following a terrific campaign in which he scored 21 goals and helped the South London club win the Europa Conference League.

Sarr also proved himself on the biggest stage by scoring four goals at the recent World Cup, making him Senegal’s all-time leading scorer in World Cup history.

It is a remarkable achievement for a player who has quietly become Mr Reliable for both club and country.

SunSport understands Palace are keen to keep Sarr this season and are willing to open talks over a new contract.

However, they would not stand in his way if he received the opportunity to play elsewhere in Europe after playing such a key role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

SunSport revealed earlier this year that Barcelona were keen to keep Rashford, either for a reduced permanent fee or on a second loan spell.

However, the arrivals of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi appear to have closed the door on the England international.

Speaking after Barcelona‘s friendly against Birmingham, Hansi Flick said: “You never know what happens with players who are on loan. Our situation is not easy in that respect.

“But I appreciated working with him. He is a fantastic player and a fantastic person. The team will miss him, I will miss him, but that’s life.

“This is something we have to accept. In the end, Anthony Gordon came in and from my first conversation with him, it was clear he was excited to join Barca. I’m really happy he’s on our team.”

In other Premier League transfer news, Chelsea are now set to focus on outgoings after confirming the signing of Valentin Barco, with Jordan Henderson also expected to arrive.
