The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an immediate suspension of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 for one week, following a thorough consultation with key stakeholders, including franchisees, broadcasters, and sponsors. The bravery, courage, and selfless service of our armed forces, particularly their efforts under Operation Sindoor, continue to protect and inspire us. Their heroic response to the recent terrorist attack and Pakistan’s unwarranted aggression is a source of immense pride.”The BCCI also stressed that while cricket remains a national passion, the country’s sovereignty, integrity, and security are paramount. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to supporting efforts that safeguard the nation, and it promised to make all decisions in alignment with the country’s best interests.In addition, the BCCI extended its gratitude to Jiostar, the official broadcaster of the IPL, for their understanding and unwavering support during this time.
