Ismaila Sarr's Agent Posts Stunning Statement After Failed Liverpool Move

Ismaila Sarr's agent, Diomansy Kamara, has released an extraordinary statement after the Senegal star's move from Crystal Palace to Liverpool fell through.

The Reds were keen to add another forward to their squad on transfer deadline day and earmarked Sarr as a top target. They made a £50m for the 28-year-old, but that offer was rejected.

Sarr was desperate to make the move to Anfield, telling Crystal Palace he didn't want to play for them anymore after the bid. However, the Eagles held firm and Sarr stayed put.

Another of Kamara's clients, Lamine Camara, also had a move on transfer deadline day fall through. Camara was set to join Chelsea for £47million, but Monaco had a late change of heart and blocked his exit.

Diomansy Kamara Speaks Out

Kamara, who played for Portsmouth, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham in the Premier League, has posted an eye-opening statement on social media following the failed moves.

The 45-year-old has called for more respect towards African players when it comes to transfer sagas. He wrote on Instagram:

“The cases of Ismaila Sarr and Lamine Camara must all interrogate us.

“We have to get out of this logic where the African player can sometimes give the feeling that he is just a commodity: you buy it, you set its price, you negotiate its future and, too often, your will seems to go to the background.

“Our African players deserve respect. The respect of their work. The respect of their career. Respecting their ambitions. The respect of their voices.

“A transfer shouldn't just be a matter of two clubs and numbers. Behind every contract, there's a man, a career, dreams and life choices.

“The fact that clubs can sometimes have the final word is a reality of professional football. But one question remains: what about the career and the will of the player?

“The player must be able to be heard and respected in the decisions that determine his future. Let's never forget what's important: behind every success, it's the players who write history first.”

Sarr has scored 33 goals in 92 games for Palace following his arrival in 2024. He was not involved in their opening two matches of the season amid uncertainty over his future. Palace have had a poor start to the campaign and will be hoping he can transform their fortunes.

Camara, 22, is considered one of the best young midfielders in world football. Chelsea attempted to sign the 49-cap Senegal international following Enzo Fernandez's mega-money move to Manchester City. It remains to be seen whether they will go back in for him in January.
