Ashlyn Krueger and Jessica Pegula debut Adidas clay court kits in eye-catching color

After months of wearing the same orange, black, and white pieces from the Australian Open through the Sunshine Double, Adidas tennis has finally changed things up with the clay court kits. This is great news because if the brand continued with this tired color scheme, the players may have matched the European red clay.

In recent years, Adidas has kept pace, and according to some, outperformed Nike in outfitting its brand ambassadors with the best kits.

Sky blue leads the way for Adidas at Credit One Charleston Open

American Ashlyn Krueger gave tennis fans a sneak peak at Adidas‘s best offering of the clay court season: the sky blue color. She wore the one piece tennis dress with a white visor in her Charleston win over Caty McNally.

Separates are still in the mix as evidenced by Jessica Pegula who wore the sky blue mixed with a white skirt. Pegula, the defending Charleston Open singles champion who begins her title defense on Wednesday, lost her first round doubles match, partnered with Asia Muhammad, against Jennifer Brady and Erin Routliffe.

Both women wore white visors, but we are waiting to see if there is sky blue headwear in the collection.
